Screw this nonsense...
I have a choice each and every day. I can start the day with a negative mindset or a positive one. Or, at least a neutral one. That would be better than a negative one for sure.
I have a choice and can choose to start the day with "screw this nonsense, I am tired of it, I can't stand the thought of another day of it all." I can, I have, and I might do this from time to time. I find that when I start the day with this mindset the day tends to go exactly as I have set in my mind. My day is shitty. I see everything as a problem and have a hard time finding good in the day. Sure, I can shift, I can turn it around, but, when I start my day, very early, with a negative mind set, it is tough to turn it around.
I recently read a book by Trevor Moawad titled "It Takes What it Takes" and learned about having a neutral mindset. This mindset is one where I don't look at things from an overly positive way, and for sure not a negative mindset. A neutral mindset is one where I say to myself that I am doing what is needed to accomplish my goals, and, if I stick to the plan, things will work out. If I am getting up everyday and doing what is needed to do good in the world, then good will come. A neutral mindset is a good one to have and much better than a negative mindset.
A positive mindset says things are going to work out for the good if I tell myself they will. I learned about having a positive mindset from the late Bob Moawad (Trevor's Dad) in the mid nineties. He believed that we needed to envision success from well before we even achieved it. If I wake up and say it out loud, "Today is going to be a good day", I am putting that image in my mind before the day has even begun. I will almost automatically make it a good day by moving toward that vision. Having a positive, forward thinking mindset is much better than a negative mindset any day of the week.
You are amazing, you can achieve amazing things. The trick is for you to envision that success now. Put the vision of you achieving success now, when you first set the goal that might take years to complete. Write it down right now, write it as if you have already completed it. Put it somewhere where you will see it everyday. After that start working toward that goal or dream you have. Now IS the time to start working toward your dreams and desires.
